I used to sketch a lot of ideas in Appleworks using the dimensioned drawing module that stretched back about 20 years to the original MacDraw. Since then, Apple has dropped the drawing modules from their office software. I tried something called EZ Draw that was supposed to replicate the Apple software but it was buggy and I didn't like it. I still have an old Powerbook that runs the old verson of Appleworks but it's days are clearly numbered.

So, I need something new. Please don't suggest I change computer platforms, not going to happen, so it has to be something that runs on Mac OS. What I need at this point is not full 2D or 3D CAD, just something quick to learn that will let me sketch out ideas. It could be a 3D modeling app or just a 2D drafting app, but it has to be simple and easy to use for a non-engineer.

Any suggestions?

Cheers,

Matthew
