My Quicksilver Sprint is nearly done and I’m looking forward to flying it this spring. As I am wont to do this time of year, I’m all over YouTube watching flying videos and such of various ULs out there.
I accidentally ran into a critter called Bloop while browsing and I’m totally intrigued. I’d seen mention of them here so did some reading and it’s a cool little airplane in a category I’ve never heard of (motorfloater). I also see it’s 2-axis. The earlier MX is 2-axis as are a number of others planes after looking into it.
I’m kinda freaked out about the thought of trying to move a stick to the side and nothing happens (or it won’t move that way). I’ve always been a 3-axis kinda guy, but I’m enamored by Bloop. Even more so, my wife thinks I need to build one. When is that ever going to happen again?
As I mention to @BJC, @mcrae0104, and @Vigilant1 recently, I picked up a set of Legal Eagle XL plans this past weekend as a tractor project to compliment my pusher project (decided against AirBike). But dang it Bloop, you’ve got a hold on me.
How freaked out should I legitimately be?
