Hi: I'm starting to think about a suitable plane to use as a single or 1.5 seat bush plane. I'm thinking of a Sky Raider II or Sky Raider Super with a Yamaha Phazer conversion, with the appropriate landing gear, panel, etc.

Kind of like a single-seat Kitfox. I think Ultralights won't really be able to handle the increased power and speeds I'm interested in, so I'm looking for a sturdier 1-seat or 1.5 seat. I'm not really looking to build ... but to buy a used one and rebuild it the way I want it. I'm still messing around with my J3 Kitten mini-cub, so I'm not going to buy anything immediately, but in the future (maybe Spring of 2025) will be ready to move on to the next level.

I want good STOL performance and a minimum 85 mph cruise & 100 VNE. Can anyone recommend any other planes that would fit this idea?

Thanks!
