I know Christmas may have lost its appeal for some individuals as we've gotten older but there is still a kid inside all of us,hopefully.
With the holiday season upon us once again...I thought it might be fun to ask what is on everyone's Christmas Wish List.
Be a kid or be a grown up....but be honest with what you would truly like to have for the holidays.
From toys,tools,car,house,$30 million aircraft,to having someone you lost back one more time...... the sky is the limit.
    Have fun with the list......

I just want to get some debts paid off so I can go back to throwing around my money like an idiot, like I used to!

Also a Velie Monocoupe under the tree and some PIC time in a Jenny.

    My list would probably be.......

    1. My son to have a long life full of love, happiness and all of the opportunities that I never had.

    2. House paid off.....so I can get that off my back every month.

    3. Family that I've lost back for one more dinner.....that would definitely be a blast...lol

    4. To actually have friends again like I had growing up....does anyone really have those friends like that when they get older though ?

    5. Money & time to finish my RW19 Stork Project.

    6. A good woman with great boobs that can carry on an intelligent conversation.....lol

    7. See Australia

    8. Did I mention the good woman with great boobs ??? Lol

    9. Finish my Stork project and do some traveling with it...land in fields to camp out and attend events with it.

    10. Hit the Lottery....quit work and spend my remaining years building & flying planes from my private ranch that is so far in the woods that you have to fly in to get there.

I said you could put ANYTHING on the list......lol

Someone to share it with.:( The rest of the stuff you guys mentioned is not really important, is it?

This past March, Better Half passed away from pneumonia as a complication of Parkinson's.

I'm really sorry to hear that, Aerowerx, and please accept my condolences. I lost my father the same way for the same reasons, at the beginning of February.

Can I wish for my youth and my hairline back? (fortunately there's now a pill for that other annoying problem)

For the aviation part of the discussion, Santa could make a quick stop at uAvionix on his way to my chimney...

    Thanks, Topaz. I appreciate it.

Parkinson's is a terrible disease. Most people don't realize that it causes more than just tremors. It eventually affects ALL muscles, and even affects the brain itself. She had it for 17 years, the last 10 being disabled.

This is my first holiday season without her.

Santa stopped in, saw the prices for ADS-B, and will be leaving you a sectional with a big "NO" written on every Charlie and Bravo instead.

I want the weather to warm up and clear for a couple days so the runway will melt and clear up. Snow-vember here again this year.

When I posted the thread,i realized that it could possibly touch on "not-so-good" issues that some of our members may be dealing with during the holidays....I'm included in that lot,no shame in admitting it.
My heart goes out to all of you.......
Sometimes,a compassionate ear will make a world of difference for someone...so I encourage members that need to talk to reach out to others.

I also thought about all of the wonderful memories that each one of us posses.....from our childhood up to the present.
I'm hoping that everyone will have a good time being a kid again and adding to the list.
    Enjoy yourself and have fun.....

    I'm doing fine Kevin.

And my reason for my post was to remind everyone that the best thing about this season is not the things, but the family you share them with.

When caring for Better Half all those years, and watching her slowly deteriorate, I learned what is most important in life.

I'm glad that you are doing fine Aerowerx..it's good to hear....and you absolutely hit on the best item for a Wish List.

While I can't have back the past...I can remember all the good times & memories and smile.
If you noticed,#1 on my list is my kiddo...he is the most important thing in my life.....from the time I first met him until the day that I draw my last breath.
Material things come and go but family & memories are forever.

This is going to be a far better Christmas than some my wife and I have had in the past. Our youngest at the time was 24 years old, got hit head-on by a tanker semi-truck on the interstate at night when the driver fell asleep and came over into the southbound lanes sliding on it side and on fire. DOA at the hospital for about 20 minutes. In a comma for 4 months and 3 months into the comma the doctor announced that they thought he was going to live. That was a couple days before Christmas, Best Present we could ever get. Spent 2 years in hospitals. Wife and I lived full time in the hospital those 4 months.
Was an engineer and lost all of his education down to learning to count again and walking and talking. I taught him to suck through a straw, chew his food, blow his nose, etc. Also lost enough of his eyesight and motorskills where he can't drive a auto. Now 55 years old. Married with 2 boys, one a ME and the other still in school. God is good.

    AMEN!!

God IS good! And to that I will say that things have been happening. It is a 99.9999% chance that I WILL have someone to share Christmas with after all. Just have to get through the next week or two, and "someone";) will be coming.

I hope everyone has a great season of holidays. Thanksgivin', Christmas, CNY, whatever it is and/or all of the above.

I have many wishes on the wishlist but all of them boil down to "I want to finish this thing so I can get onto the next one"

But if we're indulging in any Ralphie-level "presents and goodies" I'll take a Haas VF-3SSYT with a 15k spindle upgrade, Thru Spindle Coolant, triple chip augers and a 5th axis trunion.

But to be honest I'll settle for a jumbo bag of Jerky and some decent beer.

Okay,so here's one for the list that's a bit obscure....

When I was a kid I had one of the Cox .049 powered free-flight spaceships but couldn't get the thing to run properly.
Several moves later...who knows where it ended up.
Then as I got older and started flying rc I learned how to operate glow engines... so I tried to find another one but had no luck.
I would like to have one now just to see if the d*mn thing would actually fly.

I am thankful for so many things, but if I had to make a wish list, it would start with my (grown) children coming to know God, reconnecting with my estranged sibling, and having some time in the shop to work on "fun" projects, in roughly that order:)
