Greetings all...
Poplar, Walnut, Douglas fir & White-Ash were also used in WW1 planes.
How would you go about grading the wood - or put differently, how would the grading differ from what we normally do with Spruce?
Wondering if anybody knows?
Thanks

It gets graded the same, except each species has preferred minimum ring count and slope.
Thanks for that... good to hear it is not a whole new system :)
The next stupid question - how do I find out what the min ring and slope criteria is for aircraft use?
