The latest prizes are for 26 mph average for one hour around a figure eight course, and also a fast 5 minute flight around a triangle shaped course with an 11 mph cross wind.
If someone succeeds at making a plane that can do that for less than $3000, do you think there would be a market for it in the cycling community? Or still too fragile/underpowered?
I would ask cyclists if there would be a market, but I doubt they understand the aerodynamic implications.
