Today I made 2 Wood blades to replace the carbon fiber ones on my warp drive adjustable pitch prop.....
Why in Gods green earth would I do such a thing you ask ????

Well, I have seen pictures of Power fin Props that are supposed to out preform a warp drive prop by a long shot ...
I obviously need as much thrust as I can get to just get off the ground at my altitude .... so ... I made some !

instead of the 3 3/4" blade width of the warp drive I have close to 6" in width
...at present the blades are still too thick so I plan on makeing them thinner
by quite a bit ...
I have no idea if they'll work better than the warp drive prop , infact i seriously doubt it , after all they are engineered.... and these blades are just EYE-Balled...<GRIN>
I will fiberglass them when i am happy with their shape... and ballance them , seperatly and then as a unit !
...
It will be interesting to see the results !....
.... I think I'll paint them bright RED !...

the only tools I have used so far is the table saw and the Disk sander on the shop smith ... the wood is a 2"x6"
...unfortionately from 2 seperate boards so ballanceing will no doubt be a problem....but do-able .
I'll post a pic later of what they look like ...

if anyone cares !

C ya'
Bob....
