As I'm getting close to finishing project #1, I'm thinking ahead to project #2. In general terms, what is the current difference in cost between wood and aluminum for an airplane of similar size/performance -- say, a Mini-Max and an Ultracruiser. The word in the past was that wood is less expensive than aluminum, but, with the dwindling supply of Sitka spruce, is that still the case today?
