I'm curious if anyone has details on Steve's landing gear wherein he turned the outer legs of the flat bar gear outward and secured the axle to that.

How in the heck is that built?! Maybe I'm overthinking it.

I don't have Vwitt plans but guess it shows that.

Just looked at Pazmany's book, and only found a simple illustration of the type, no details. Good luck!

I bet his is not as elegant as he would steer someone asking how to do it . The tip is probably bent parallel with the axel and he welded an axel to the gear. He was going to do it in house because that was his style. I'm sure he would have steered someone to have the gear bent perpendicular to the center of the axel and bolt it all on, just how all the commercial gear are made.
