Just curious; I'm aware of the higher drag/slower speed restrictions of the type, but I thought in UL's that wouldn't matter much, and the benefits (shorter wingspan for a given amount of lift, which you need a LOT of in UL's to get into reg speeds), and lighter box structure, would outweigh that for the application?
Also, any pictures of biplanes supported without wires? I've seen a few but only like one or two of them; one is a Reno racer and the other was a "star strut" aircraft posted on this forum.
Thanks!
