Howdy all, I found this interesting site about biulding small jet engines... that says there was a plane (the Whilling PJ-1) that was powered by two of their "Pressure Jet" engines... and they say "Approx. max. speed: 400 mph; gross weight: 600 lbs. The jets were mounted directly behind the pilot."

click on the "NEW Jet Engines" link and go to the very bottom... the G8 2-130R is sapposedly the engine...

Also an interesting "plans built Turbo Jet engine" here.. with free 'jet' engine plans included if you buy now:gig:.. although I dont think you could fly with this one. http://www.windspire.com/daemon/
