OK, so I've read the Quiet Flight thread about how to minimize noise from the prop and engine. I'd like to come at noise from inside the cabin.

I flew today in a nice BD-4 with an IO-320 and constant speed prop, and it was unpleasantly loud -- hard to concentrate and impossible to communicate without headsets. I have always been extremely sensitive to noise, so I want to make sure whatever I build is much quieter.

Which single-engine planes, homebuilt or certified, are the most quiet inside the cabin? What do I look for in a 'quiet cabin' design?
