So I am working on a Falconar F11 (aka modified Jodel D11). I built the rudder and horizontal stabilizer with much success. I even had positive comments from the EAA technical counselor visit. The problem is I got cocky, and started going faster and as I glued the ribs to the spar for the elevator things didn't line up so well. Then I told myself that once I attach the trailing edge it will straiten out. It very much just got worse. So then I started thinking if I cut that glue joint and add a shim maybe I can fix it. But after cutting the joint and looking at the result I have decided I have turned 40ish dollars of douglas-fir and plywood into scrap. I find it had to give up, I kept thinking I can fix it its not junk!!!! Arrr... Well they say homebuilding is for education, well I learned two things patience and humility. Well time to remake those elevator ribs.
