I am working on a 2-stroke engine with integrated ignition (Zenoah G50, see this thread on ignition). There are two small ignition components that are mounted on the engine mount. They are pretty small, about 1 inch or so across. For reference, the mounting screw on the picture is #6 screws. There is little mark on them that says "IIDA JAPAN, PAT PEND". What are those? Capacitors or something else?

Also, the integrated ignition has two wires coming out of it. One is obviously spark wire that goes to the plug. What is the other wire? Kill switch? Then how is the little component above come into the connection picture?

Any help is appreciated. FYI, I got this set in pieces, and I have never seen how they were connected before.
