Hi all, I thought I put out a thought provoking question.
Reading McLean's "Understanding Aerodynamics" I had a thought (and before any asks, ganja is not legal in Spain, I never smoked, nor do intently break the law :gig: ) I came up with the following.
If one places small propellers along the leading edge of a wing, one can increase the dynamic pressure of the wing, increasing lift of the wing. you could then argue, that by doing so, you can reduce the size of the wing, lowering drag and increasing efficiency.
You could potential fly slower with a smaller wing, reduce drag, and improve the power ratio needed to maintain a giver speed.
Also, smaller propellers, you can adjust the harmonics of the plane by adjusting speeds on each propeller and reduce the buzz sound to a soothing hum...
Thought?
