I'm thinking about single and 2 place efficient airplanes and I'm wondering what gets the most performance dollar wise. I can't think of anything that beats the Hummelbird, am I forgetting something? 10 grand to build and 2 gal/hr @ 105mpg is pretty hard to beat.

For a 2 place would this title go to a Sonerai? I think it would cost more to build a Sonex or KR2 with about the same cruise speed.
