Look where they placed the motors.

Our editors in this country have all taken the stupid pill, example ... is the comma in the wrong place or are there to many zero's?

watch the vid of the ALICE test-flight here.........maybe put 1 of Alice's 700 kW engines into the tail of the laminar-flow Celera,, in place of that ICE diesel......which means you get rid of those ugly air-scoops and their drag.......much cleaner and much more futuristic!

Hey! Celera 500 with a 22:1 Glide-ratio, is going to be HYDROGEN powered........ maybe it'll be a game-changer!

World's most efficient passenger plane gets hydrogen powertrain

Indeed, when we first wrote about the Celera 500L back in 2020, many questioned why the heck this thing wasn't electric from the get go. And it seems Otto is on board with the idea, as it's now announced a collaboration with hydrogen aviation pioneers ZeroAvia to develop a fuel cell-electric powertrain specific to the Celera's requirements.

This airframe's bulbous shape works well with a hydrogen concept – hydrogen powertrains can weigh much less than battery-electric ones, but they tend to take up a bit of space. Still, ZeroAvia is being relatively humble with its ambitions to begin with, aiming for a range of just 1,000 nautical miles (1,852 km) of zero-emissions range for a hydrogen-fueled Celera. Still, that's a very useful distance, and pretty extraordinary for a clean electric passenger plane.

A bit off-topic but this brilliant little Czech "MIROCOPTER" coaxial-heli looks like it could easily be converted to pure-electric silent.......maybe a separate 25 HP motor for each rotor-disc, with motors turning in different directions, and software controls yaw.
No gears, just belts. Congratulations to the engineers!

see flying here……Czech!

They have glue/plastic now that will withstand higher temperatures.

Also some of the pastel colors will not raise the temperature very much.

They are putting jet black and dark blue solar panels on the wings now, I would think the solar panels have to raise the temperature more than some colors of paint?

Can you actually soar with a helicopter, even an electric one? If not, maybe electric helicopters should have their own forum.
