What do you think about "e-soaring"?

Estonian 3-wheeler electric-car has 190kW motor and latest batteries.....may be applicable tech for eSoaring...
Really like the printed-carbon wing construction in #3049.....cheap and easy to cover.....
Long ago, BD-4 had integral light-weight fibregless rib-and-skin "wing-segments" that were "hand-laid-up". Finished segments were threaded over aluminiun tube-spar and glued and clamped to the spar.. Skins were glued into eachother like hand-and-glove. Maybe someone could comment whether carbon-printing could be applied to this way of simple and fast-building a constant-chord wing?

Why couldn't the carbon wing structure be covered with something like 2oz per sq ft carbon fiber skins? Pop skins off some molds and glue them on to the structure?

I think is good idea
Would be interesting to compare weight of three wings.
One version made as you say (carbon printed structure covered by carbon skin).
Second version made by standard "wet" lamination (4-8 mm herex "sandwitch").
Third version made with parabeam and styrofoam.
Three similar wing segments allowing to make same strength tests...

Nobe car looks nice
I don´t know details about used technology, but it reminds me in one very old Czech project.
It was "car" designed for disabled people. At that time has been using engines from Jawa motorcycles (250 ccm - 350 ccm).
Simple tube fram construction covered by fabric...

It was simply "convertible" to cabrio....

Beautifull and simple construction.... capable to tow

Jozef Borzecki was flown on his constructiones (STRATUS,ALTOSTRATUS,CIRRUS,SKOWRONEK) aircrafts circa 1000 h !

=JB-4 was deadly crashed in 1990 (plywood tube spar was destroyed).

=Jozefs helper was made mistake and spar with test sand bags was broken in two places...=NO cash (many= for new pleawood (retaired!) =was repaird =

in last fly I was see strange dive from 200 m high >circa 50 m =flat cork,
recovery from cork =spiral and 2/3 of left wing was separated...

=head (NO helmet !!!) was allmost in two halves...

after two hauers in hospital Jozef was dead .(60 years old).

It may be to go to auction and bid on wreck so you know how and were it was damaged? As to buying parts that were out of a unknown wreck? Weird things happen in wrecks like thrust washers and bearings get damaged because they were never designed for the forces applied and hard to see inside of the gizmo's. I worked for an operator that before I worked for him operated a DC-7 a while, lots of 30 foot flames and the like with crewmembers with the "big eyes". Another operator operating DC-7's had no such problems he however tore down the engines when they "came out of the can" and replaced the bearings and seals. Just sitting even in a can seals deteriorate and bearings get "flat spots" so no telling with parts that experienced unknown G forces.

Celerra 500 airframe is claimed to be 5 times more efficient than a turboprop, and 7 times more efficient than an executive-jet......Celera 500 has 23:1 glide-ratio, Celera 500 is fitted with a conventional diesel with cams/valves/chains etc.
Just wondering why Celera 500 doesn't have the most efficient aero-diesel of all time....the Achates diesel......?
