I will certainly post pictures of it. I just have to upload them to my computer. Currently, I need retracts (which are expensive), I need to order some plexi glass to make the canopy sections with as I have already created a mold to form off of.

I need to install my engine but I have been waiting to find a suitable muffler or make one myself. I need to finish the skins but I am waiting to get the flaps and ailerons on to check for correctness before I skin the entire wing section.

Definitely a labor of love and I have really enjoyed building this thing so far.

Thanks for showing interest.

The Mustang is probably one of the most produced RC model kit subjects ever. Right after the J-3 Cub. Things like canopies are available. You just have to find them. Retracts too are available. For a 60 inch wing I'd suggest trying to find an old set of Rhom Air. Or some of the new electric units should work too.

May I suggest you visit this forum: RC Scale

You'll probably find too much help there. The gang there are experts from around the world. One guy is building a 1/6 scale B-17 with a fully detailed interior. Just doing a search for P-51 builds will provide you with more ideas than you can use. You have to join to post. Free membership gives you all the lurking you want plus 5 posts. Or $25 a year for unlimited posts.

Hope to see you there.

What am I doing except flying?
Gave my like new 1981 Chevy 3/4 ton pickup truck that I have owned for 35+ years to my oldest son. Bought a 1991 Chevy 1500 pickup truck. Southern truck with zero rust and been in storage. 98K miles. Installed new exhaust system, new brakes, new shocks, battery, etc, etc.
Will be my new driving to town truck. :)
Pray for me to keep my cool, need to go to the DVM today for the title and license plates. The state wide DMV computers have been down for 2 weeks and they finally got a bigger hammer and got it working. ( their words not mine ). Hope the 50 mile drive is worth it. Last time I was at the DMV it took 3 trips. Their required paper work was not good enough, needed other "not required" paper work. Reminds me of the old 3 Stoodes movies.
Makes you proud of the FAA.

DMV's nation wide show that the States have learned much from Washington DC. None of it good but they have learned much.

Hello. We have a war going on in Ukraine, people are dying. I live in the city of Kharkov. We are constantly bombarded with rockets and shells. But I do not stop loving aviation and homemade aircraft. Your forum helps me keep my finger on the pulse. I also continue to build a cricket plane by French designer Michel Colomban. I have a license and blueprints. I was visiting him at home. When the war is over, I will start working on my dream again. Thank you. I wish you all health, success and a peaceful sky, in which many different aircraft fly...

Hello. Unlike Russia, the rest of the world has been kept up to date on the news of Putin's war. With the exception of China, the whole world is praying and hoping your forces will push the Russians out of the Ukraine, and the Russian people will learn of Putin's lies, kill him, and make peace and reparations for all the damage they enabled him to make on your beautiful country, her people, and her aircraft. We look forward to seeing you fly your Cri Cri in a free Ukraine sky.

Quick follow-up: I did a BBQ every month, each time bringing about twice as much food as the last. Ran out every time. Airport people are alive and well.
Lots of work.
Wife and I and my daughter and her husband had 2 Saturday 1 pm cookouts a year for about 8 years. Grew fast to at least 200 people each time. Then they stated bringing campers for the weekend and then we had food for Friday night and Saturday morning and Sunday morning. Just got to much work with no one else to help. Fly of drive, just come. Have a couple acres of airplanes each time.

Beside reading airplane books, working on my airplane website (nestofdragons.net) and tinkering on bizarre airplane designs, i am a salsa-dancer, a cosplayer and a crazy "inventor/designer/tester"

Cosplay (most is visible on instagram as nestofdragons_cosplay):
me on stilts. A own created and constructed fantasy figure named Alfron (half High Elf, half deer). The lady is not my girlfriend.
COSPLAY01.jpg
My most famous costume. Batman. I bought the suit in USA and added parts (cape, helmet) to it.

Me as crazy inventor: Recently mostly busy with making my electric motorbike winterproof.
First try-out.
ZERO 01.jpg
Second more enclosed design. Entry at the other side.
ZERO 02.jpg

And yes, i did use it on my daily ride to work. Currently preparing third design.

Lucky me spent a large part of the summer managing a major remodel of one of my properties, helping some race car folks out as needed( I have apparently been deemed tech support), and building a few 13B engines for people that need them. I have been avoiding race car stuff because I really would prefer not to get sucked back in, but a friend in need..
In the early part of the summer I restored a 1999 CBR 600 F4, which I have ridden a half a dozen times since the paint dried.
We also bought two additional boats- a 2001 Bryant 214 bowrider and a 2000 Javelin Renegade 20 bass boat. The R20 needed a bit of work but is a sweet machine now, and since the remodel is "done" I actually have gotten to hit the lake and do a little fishing.
I shot a few matches this year- Superstition Mountain Mystery 3-Gun in AZ, Zombies in the Heartland in Nebraska, Battle for the South in North Carolina, and a bunch of local matches here in TN. Not as many as "normal", but I still have Hard as Hell in St George Utah left.
My son and I have done some camping with the Scouts, although I tend not to go along as much anymore so he can spend more time with his fellow Scouts.
I have had zero time to fly, and have done very little work on the Dragonfly. I am working to change that.

Writing structural test procedures for a locomotive, writing airport advisory board recommendations to city council for long-term preservation of the airport, making props for the high school band, fixing up a boat trailer, and responding to random threads on the internet.
