I searched, before posting, for any thoughts about the Levil Aviation's BOM sensor module. For those who are unfamiliar, BOM is a self-contained device, shaped a bit like a small torpedo, which installs on the outside of your aircraft, under the wing (two screws). It is self-powered (internal battery is charged with a small turbine). It contains practically all the sensors and receivers you need: AHRS, pitot-static, angle-of-attack, GPS with WAAS, ADS-B in. All the sensors data is digitised and transmitted via WiFi to a nearby device (iPad, iPhone or Android). On the device, you use either their own app, or a third-party app, to display all this as a complete EFIS, plus traffic and weather (from ADS-B). For EA-B people, it theoretically provides everything you need.
Since this thing has been on the market for a few years already, and several third-party apps have appeared that connect with it, does anyone here have real experience? There is very little on YouTube (Paul Bertorelli from AVWeb showed it) so it would be interesting to hear from if anyone has longer than just testing experience
