Hi there folks I am a newbie to this forum and homebuilt airplanes. As with most newbies I have all these ideas floating around in my head so I figured i would run a few of them by yall, heck maybe somebody might even think its a good one and build it before I get there. Any way, the other night I had an idea to strap a hydraulic accumulator up to an air frame, with the nozzle lined up on the center of mass. then you could charge it with water and have enough thrust to push a 3100lb 182 to 37 mph in 2.6 seconds, baring friction. Would this be a good STOL mod? Would it tear a fuselage to pieces?
