Was there a major HBA update yesterday?

Does the new software have a (native) way to make tables?

Has anyone found a way to put the newest post at the top of a thread?

So you are wanting to read posts in descending order? Or are you wanting to see the first unread post in a thread and read in ascending order from there? If in descending order you can go the the bottom of each forum, and use the THREAD DISPLAY OPTIONS. Make your choices and set options.

On the same note, does the table BBCode need to be enabled in the new software?

I wrote an Excel-to-BBCode converter that worked on the previous software. This made it handy for posting tables of homebuilt fleet sizes, accident statistics, etc.

I've found the changes required in the code to work on Xenforo, but it's like the forum doesn't recognize the "
sort of tags.

@Wanttaja I will be looking into your code being accepted or other XF ways of doing a table.

And can you provide a thread with tables inserted so I can see how they were used?

Ideally, when I call up any display (a forum, all my unread thread, all new posts, etc) I would like to have the newest (thread or post) at the top (of the first page) and the oldest (thread or post) at the bottom (of the last page).
The THREAD DISPLAY OPTIONS appears to change how the list of threads is ordered. Right now, mine is set for "LAST MESSAGE TIME in DESCENDING ORDER". That puts the thread with the most recent post at the top, which is what I want. But when I open that thread, the original post is at the top, and I have to select the button for the last page, the scroll to the bottom of that page, to see the most recent post. It would be more convenient if, when I opened the thread, the newest post (read or unread) was always at the top.

Thanks.

Here's an example on the EAA Forum page:

http://eaaforums.org/showthread.php?8748-The-Annual-Registration-Summaries

The second posting has another table.

Posted the same data here in January, but it no longer works with the switch to XF:

https://www.homebuiltairplanes.com/forums/threads/the-annual-registration-summary.30950/

Note that I am *not* asking to make these old postings work again. Just a way to make similar posts in the future. I've written a VisualBasic program that converts Excel data (on the clipboard) to VBulletin-compatible code; that's what I use to create the tables above. I've altered the code to handle what I read were the changes for XF, but it didn't work. I'm hoping there's just a switch or something that needs to be turned on to enable use of code.

There's an option to use the BB Code Generator (the last icon on the icon row) but it doesn't seem to matter.

[row]
[c]Type[/c]
[c]2008[/c]
[c]2009[/c]
[/row]
[row]
[c]Air Command[/c]
[c]54[/c]
[c]56[/c]
[/row]
[row]
[c]Aventura[/c]
[c]76[/c]
[c]78[/c]
[/row]

I personally don't need a built-in table generator within the software itself, but can see how others would find it useful.

Is it within the realm of possibility to promote the "Recent Posts" tab to the very top? If not globally, can I do it as a preference? To me and the way I use the site, this tab has a lot more utility than anything else that is now on the top line. FWIW, the previous forum setup had a tab like that.

Thanks.

Thank you for those Table examples and the codes. Request for that or similar ability being checked on.

The Recent Posts to main tab, being looked into, also.

Recent Posts tab next to New Posts tab when logged in. When logged out on mobile browser it shows top left.
