I AM only new to this forum and hope to gain a knowledge of aircraft design.
My principal interest is in the construction of Wing in Ground craft.
WIGs are also known as Ekroplan (USSR), Wingship (USA), AGEC (Germany), WISES (Japan), Flarecraft (Jörg designed Germany), GEM (notional name including both WIG and Hovercraft) and PARV &PAR-WIG (Power Assisted Ram WIG).
As you can see there are many names for this type of craft but there is very little information out there. The most quoted site for this type of information is www.se-technology.com but they insist that you become a member (which is not cheap).
Does anyone out there know of any sources of information available for free?
Yes I know I am a cheapskate, but at present my ideas are only at the concept level.
I have found information from a number of sites including unclassified military documents.
Could anyone out there please send me any URL’s to relevant .pdf documents?:think:
