Because the core RV is all curves in all planes, there is a constant film of road dirt all over the body, (UK weather) I thought that VG's will separate the airflow
and help both aerodynamics and keep it cleaner ?

I wonder how these would work on my Velomobile?

VGs are not a magic bullet. they can be useful in specific circumstances. But they almost always involve a considerable amount of trial and error to be of benefit. You don't want seperated flow. That increases drag and the amount of dirt deposited...
Have a look for a book called 'Road vehicle aerodynamic design' by one of my old professors, R. H. Barnard. it's a bit short on dirt IIRC, but is full of information on reducing drag.

I had a friend of my who raced a formula car. Wanted to try some VG's. He put tuffs on most of the bodywork, had us take photos of the car as he went by on the straight. As far as I can remember, he never did go with VG's. Guess he decide that it was not worth the effort.
