Kawasaki made a 292 Fan Single with Bolt Holes around the PTO for a Belt Drive or Adapting a Rotax A Gear Drive. Muffler only!

Model KT-150A rated 20hp@5500rpm!
292 (74mm x 68mm) 292.5cc/7cc = 41.7hp@6500rpm with a Good Tuned Pipe. But for USA Part 103 you probably only need 28-35hp.

Model KT-150B rated 22hp@6000rpm!
292 (74mm x 68mm) 292.5cc

Model KT-150C rated 24hp@6000rpm!
292 (79mm x 68mm) 333.3cc

Model T4B292 rated ??
292 (74mm x 68mm) 292.5cc

It has a Cast-Iron Sleeve. Many Kawasaki Engines also came with Nikasil Cylinders. Is there a Cylinder Swap Option out there, I bet there is.

An ACE Belt Drive would probably be the easiest to Adapt. I know for the 340/440 Twins they used a 3/4" Adapter Plate with the A Gear Drive. There are still Used & New A Gear Drives floating around.

The 340 Twin, the 440 Twin, and the 550 Twin all share the same bottom End.

I have seen reference to a 250 Single, but maybe the Spirit Engine line Arctic Cat also used. Basically a Copy of the Kawasaki Engines.

Spirit AB25F1 (70mm x 65mm) 250.1cc! My Spirit 275 Twin is 20hp@6000rpm with a Muffler.
