Hi folks, I'm currently doing the wiring harness of a DITTEL FSG 2T vhf for a friend of mine and I have a simple doubt. The wiring diagram shows one pin as "AF External IN" it's supposed to be used with NAV, COM or MKR (don't know what is this last one).
My question is, can I use this input as a music input and get it sound clear on the headphones?

Thank in advance and sorry for my English, have a nice day.

MKR is market beacon for IFR landings. You will have to try. It was never designed to play music with quality sound.

You may be dissatisfied with the sound quality. Radios made for communication typically have a narrow audio bandwidth. As little as 250 Hz to 2500 Hz, in some cases. For enjoyable music you want at least 100 Hz to 10000 Hz.

As for me, I would not want to be distracted from flying by the music.

Thanks for the answers, I think I will put music aside, I also believed that bandwidth would be a problem for the quality of the music.
Thanks again.
