I would like to poll the membership about an idea I have.

Concept overall first please, but the devil is in the details.

An ultralight steel tube fuselage covered in fiberglass for waterproofing (hull), with the ability to stay afloat, properly, (sufficient freeboard).
A Poloni Thor 303, ( but am thinking about a 202), mounted where the thrust line would be adjustable.
The top engine mount on a hinge (tube structure).
The bottom mount on an excentric shaft that would allow a two deg pos thrust line.
Not looking to get off in the weeds on structure, just examples of the thrust lines ability to shorten the take off, or be helpful to lessen the effects of the suction of the water on the hull.
Luckydog got me to give a second look at hydro wings (hydrofoil) and haven’t been able to get past this idea.
So now when you combine the ability to adjust the thrust and the low drag of a wing in the water (hydrofoil) with a positive angle of incidence.
How will the foils effect the aircraft in flight.
