Our other ultralight design threads are all over the place. I created this thread so we will have the definitive list on what is and what was available in the ultralight catagory.

Here's the one that started it all, the Skycraft Scout, World's first commercially produced ultralight - first built in 1976. Designed and offered in kit form by Australian Ron Wheeler, seen being flown here by Cec Anderson in a typical Aussie ultralight setting - the beach

Ed Fishers Flitplane is a plans built ultralight. Steel tube fuselage with aluminum tube and fabric wing. Another optimum design for a ultralight.

I saw this Loele ultalight at Oshkosh 95. Very impresive. It is alll wood and fabric. It uses geodetic type construction in the wing and the fuslage very simular to Fisher Flying Products designs. Aluminum tube struts. Very easy , very strong wood construction. Very light. Another optimum design for a ultralight. http://fisherflying.com/

Wow, that is a nice Skypup. Do you know who's building it?

Sorry, NO - the pics were sent to me without a name.

Thats some neat stuff Detego! Thanks! I really like the Skypup type construction. I wouldn't be able to resist adding a rear spar and ailerons.
