Does anyone know on the folding wing version of the thorp, how much play should be in the aileron control system? We are putting one back together in the shop and with the wings secured in place there is a dead area in the system. The control stick can move about 1.5 to 2 inches back and forth with no movement of the ailerons whatsoever. There is an adjustment bolt on the bellcranks the doesn't appear to have been moved since it was painted, but it is to short to take all the slop out of the system before it runs out of threads. We did not want to just replace it with a longer bolt if this is not the way it was supposed to work. Anyone familiar with this type of system please let me know what to look for.
