R.I.P.
Sun-n-Fun is right around the corner, starting April 13th. I hope to meet as many of you as possible there. Look for me by my bright yellow U/L, Lucky Stars, near the SE end of Paradise City. Let me know you're from this forum, so I'll recognize you. I plan to fly as much as possible every day.
This year's event is pegged to be a big 30th anniversary gathering for U/Ls. It would be great if there was a decent turn out. Starting last year, they kicked the faster LSA out of the U/L pattern. So it should be good for U/Ls and slower LSA like PPCs and trikes. In the last several years, few U/Ls have been showing up at the bigger air shows, afraid of being busted for their slightly illegal U/Ls. But generally the air show organizers have a hand shake agreement with the FAA not to look too closely.
If you've never flown at Sun-n-Fun, let me know, and I'll send you some tips specific to flying the U/L pattern there. Attending as a spectator is easy. But the logistics are pretty involved for flying. Hundreds of people will be watching every landing, and thousands will check out your plane.
