Hi,
I live on a small lake in northern Michigan and I'm wondering if it would be possible to safely fly a light airplane in and out of it. The lake is only about 1200 - 1400 feet long and has 50' trees at one end (clear on the other). I've seen video of an ultralight Kolb on floats and that looks great but it is unclear how much water it needs. I have a PPL so I'm not limited to an legal ultralight. Any input as to the feasiblity and potential airplanes/floats that might meet my needs would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Tom
