Not sure if i fully understand this but It seems that start stop tech has basically made electric pumps standard for car motors. When stopped, the engines have oil and water pumps to cool the engine while in stop mode.

Is this true?

I know BMWs have had electric water pumps, but it seems that now they are common enough for economy level cars, and that they might be usable for conversation motors.

Any thought? I still think that an electric water pump is a winner over a belt driven one for ground cooling and cruise.
