If this has been answered before I apologize for asking again but I never found a definite answer to this question...

If Sport Pilot allows you to fly with a drivers license instead of having to pass a medical......
What happens if you go to court and have your drivers license suspended or even revoked ?
Is your Sport Pilot status now suspended or revoked until you get your drivers license back ?

Correct. But you can still go and get a medical... which could be problematic depending on why your DL was taken away.

    I don't know.

But the conservative thing is to say no, you can not fly.

What happens if you go ahead and fly, and the FAA finds out? Then if you get your license back they may take a dim view of you flying, since you would have a violation on your record.

The best thing is to fix the situation and get your license back.

Yes. As with all certificates, your Sport Pilot Certificate privileges are directly tied to your medical. If your medical is your driver's license it must be "current & valid" anytime you use your pilot's certificate.

Moreover - your license in some states can be suspended by the Motor Vehicle Department and your only notice may be a letter in the mail (or not). In South Carolina your license can be put under suspension for driving without insurance and a host of other reasons. Probably the one reason most people would not suspect is "failure to pay child support." So pay her what you owe her or you may be grounded!

Here's a link to some of the items SC can suspend your driver's license for: http://www.speedingticketadvisor.org/suspended-revoked-license-south-carolina/

You should know that you can use your DL to self certify for a sport pilots license but if you fail a medical, you can no longer use your DL in place of the medical, even for just a sport license.
