Today I got the skin fitted to the leading edge fuel tank,and removed it them the jig , now to final trim the edges to shape disassemble debur all the holes, and countersink them. Still have to install the fuel cap at the tip & fuel pickup strainer & fuel level sending unit. Still a lot to do until it goes together for good.

Been slow over Christmas, but Yesterday I finally finished riveting one of the outboard wing cap strips to the spar . One down one to go.

Today finally started riveting the spar cap strips to the center section bulkhead & inner center section spars . Been a long time coming to this point , rivets are turning out nice . Couldn’t have done it without the big rivet squeeze in the background .

Here some pictures of the tank in the jig , and both tanks on the table with the center section.
Finally finished the second leading edge fuel tank to the point where it can come out of the jig. These tanks have washout and are tapered, and are a real bear to get right . They will be removable like RV leading edge fuel tank . Tomorrow should get the rest of the rivets to finish riveting the center section , then get back to work on the tanks .

Yesterday I finally got the outer spar all lined up to drill the attachment bolt to the center section. Holes are drilled undersized, and the each bolt is measured,and each hole is reamed to fit. Very time consuming, with are lot of measuring going on to get it right , you only get one chance ! Waiting on the NAS bolts now. Almost 70 bucks each , Ouch !

Progress has been a little slower lately, been changing a boat motor also , not what I really enjoy doing.

Today pro-sealed , and riveted together inbound rib fuel tube pick-up panel access on outer leading edge fuel tanks.
Not real fond of working with pro-seal . Nasty stuff !
