We talked about correctly sized horizontal tail that's supposed to provide stall landing in ground effect with maximum forward CG position.

My instructor during our first flight was complaining about how hard was to rotate Skyboy during takeoff. Aircraft feels glued to the runway and didn't want to fly. With a lot of back pressure on the stick finally it would abruptly rotate. And start climbing normally after that. Another Skyboy owner was telling me that his instructor complaining and comparing this behavior to slingshot.

Is this kind of behavior during takeoff is direct result of undersized horizontal tail and small elevator for this job? We know horizontal tail volume Vh=0.34. And we know that with passenger and CG at 23-24% MAC you're running out of elevator during landing. Solo flights don't present any problems at all, because your CG without ballast at 34-36%.
