I like the design of the weedhopper, and am looking for a project of my own, after having my friend adopt the legal eagle project I was working on, however the vne and weight limits concern me. I tip the scales at 240, would like to be able to strap down a light backpack behind me, and would like a little more headroom on the vne. Does anyone know a bird like this? I am trying to stick with a tube and fabric design, and enjoy flying open crafts (I cut my teeth on a quicksilver). Does anyone know any plan sets that I could look at? Or does anyone have experience with the weedhopper? Would it be safe to be 50-60lbs over the loaded weight?
