sailplane spar joining methods

    Yes, I know this is an old thread but when searching for a picture to illustrate my question Google sent me here.

    Is there anything inherently wrong with mounting a removable wing similar to the picture below but deleting the aft pins, building a wider spar and reacting the drag and anti drag loads through the 4 main pins? This presumes that the structure has been designed for these forces. There will be no torsional loads passed through the 4 main mounting pins
