I have been seriuosly looking at the Sport Pilot catagory. But there isnt anything that suits exactly what I want. I really like Vans RV4. It has an empty weight listed of just over 900 pounds. Gross at 1500 If I were to use an O-200 instead of an O-320 and say titanuim gear legs build it light, daylight VFR only I'm thinking and empty weight of around 825 might be possible. Now we set gross at 1320. Stall speed is already very close to the 45 knots. And if I leave off the wheel pants, gear leg farings and use a climb prop top speed could match the 120 knot max. Does this sound like it might work?
