For all you gyroplane enthusiasts, here is some sad news I received from my good friend Wayne Salleng, a member of PRA Chapter 1 in El Mirage:

I was notified last evening of the passing of my good friend Marion Springer, Rotorcraft Gyroplane CFI (ret). Marion was one of the early Bensen Gyrocopter pioneers, and for many years, the only female gyroplane CFI in the USA. Well loved by many (I included) she surely will be missed.

There will be no memorial service and her ashes will quietly be spread in the desert. Marion's way.

My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.

Wayne
