Hi all,

I tend to read a lot from HBA, but I tend to mostly post on the Thatcher forum.
I have a question that I need to ask people more experienced than me.
How much work is it to convert a great plains engine with a reduction drive to a direct drive engine?
I understand that the reduction drive engine uses a cheaper crank (0101 / 82mm Stroke VW Crankshaft - Redrive engines), and I also understand that the redrive case is not machined for the force one hub.
That's not actually a big deal because I live a half-day drive from Great Plains in NE OK, so I can run a case up to Art on the weekend and drive back to pick it up a few weeks later (I called him today).
Is there anything else I'm missing?

Thanks,
Connor
