Hi All,

I'm working with the spreadsheet that comes with the Raymer "Simplified Aircraft Design for Homebuilders" book. On the "As-Drawn Performance" tab, cell D6 is Engine Power and it's initially linked to the value entered on the "Initial Sizing Inputs" tab

On the As-Drawn Performance tab, I updated the Engine Power value per the "Density effect on Power" equation on pg 92 and the decreased hp value is used in the various performance calculations.

The density adjusted decreased hp value is also used in the Takeoff Performance calculations which seems wrong as I would have thought the sea level engine power value would be used. I'm guessing I'm missing something... has anyone else noticed this?

Thanks,
Mike
