rainy days are good for working in the shop. I got the nose ribs attached to the wing. I then made a template for the leading edge wrap for the center section and used it to cut out the leading edge plywood. it is strapped and clamped to the leading edge now to form the shape.

the second coat of varnish is on the inside of the plywood leading edge and the area it will cover and had time to get the first coat of varnish on the area that will be covered by the leading edge plywood on the wing during lunch today.

20190624_185151_resized.jpg Did some more varnishing today. Got the second coat on the inside of the leading edge plywood piece. I also managed to drill the strut brackets and get them installed, then removed them to varnish the bolt holes and area around the brackets.

Took the clamps off the leading edge then measured and cut the second piece. Well long story short i somehow measured wrong so now have to order another sheet of plywood. lucky i had the third piece to use so it is now cut the right size. It was soaked and now clamped to the leading edge to form.
