Looking for a Ni-Cad battery pack and charger for a Sporty's SP-200 Nav-Com handheld. Sporty's price is $100 for battery and $50 for charger ! I can buy a icom with everything on ebay for nearly that.

Try Batterymart.com. They seem to have pretty much everything in batterys. I bought a pack for my Icom IC-A2 on sale and it was $25. I saw an article in a Sport Aviation a while back on how to make a constant current battery charger. The article had a wiring diagram and a parts list. Sorry I don't remember the magazine date.
    Best wishes,
    Wally

We have one of those "Batteries-R-Us" places, you know, they do nothing but batteries. I took them my original STS handheld battery pack (Circa 1985), they were able to cut it open, put in new batteries and reseal it.

    Cost about $30
