    Just curious:

When a posting, that no longer is the newest post in a thread, is edited, will the “New Post” feature go to the edited post, or the first unviewed post in the thread?

    Thanks,

Nope, the new post button doesn't work for edits, as far as I know.
So if an important edit was made, some or most might not see the edit.

I try to keep my edits, of substance, limited to a half an hour of the original post for this reason. Typos, grammar and spelling maybe a bit longer - if I notice them. IIRC our ability to edit times out at 24 hours?

Thanks guys, that is what I thought. I added a substantial edit to a post this AM, which spurred the question.

IIRC, it times out at 48 hours.
