Hello All,

Wondering if their is a "rule of thumb" when considering the prop to ground clearance (while level) for a tail-dragger configuration? Next project is a Spacewalker II that I'd like to install a Verner onto, and likely a 76" propeller. As drawn in the plans, the Spacewalker II has about a 12" prop to ground clearance in a flight level attitude with a 72" prop. The thrust line is in the drawn configuration (horizontally opposed engine) is several above the center waterline of the fuselage. Ideally would like to place the radial right on the center waterline, however I lessen the prop ground clearance by several inches. Really prefer not to extend the gear height and change the AOA the aircraft is in a 3 point landing configuration.

Anyone have insight they could share?
