The idea for this thread was given to me by Steveair2 and Topaz as a way to see what the HBA membership is building. I think it will be great to compile a listing of projects with links to the builder's website. It will not only be interesting to see who is building what, but it might help bring builders with similar projects together.

In your post, please include the link to your builder's log website and the type of aircraft you are building. A description of your project with a picture or two in the post would be great to have as well. If you don't have a builder's log website, please feel free to post about your project anyway. I'll still add your project to the list.

One other thing. Please try to limit your posts in this thread to adding your project to the list. Encouragement is welcome, but if you need to discuss a project in depth, please start another thread in the appropriate forum area or contact the builder via PM or email. This will keep off-topic conversation to a minimum. Thanks!

    Ok...lets see those projects folks!

I'm building a steel tube and wood biplane of my own design.
    I have no website.
My pictures seem to big to upload.....2.1 meg.
My plane is on the gear and I'm now working on attaching the lower wings.
It will look a lot like a Tiger Moth.

    Thanks Jim!

    I wish I were building a glider!
These tube a wood biplanes from scratch are a bit more work than I anticipated. One day it will have an A-75 on the front.

    Hi everyone,

I'm fairly new to the site. I'm also new to aviation, I'm a non-pilot, but I've taken the plunge and started building a Zenith STOL CH-701 from scratch. My goal is to build a "poor man's bushplane." I'm considering using a Suzuki 1.3L auto conversion to power my plane. I'm looking forward to learning lots as I build this plane.

My builder's log website is: http://www.mykitlog.com/rengler/

    Thanks
    Randy in Alberta, Canada

    Alain,

The link to your project seems to be broken.

Ok...seems to be working now. Thanks.

Yep...I really can't complain. 15 months is a long time but the ability to communicate with the family on a regular basis has made all the difference. It's a spotty and slow connection but it IS a connection none the less!!

Hey all, below is my site. I haven't started construction yet, I'm in Iraq, but I have the plans and have done a lot of research so far. I have also ordered all the tools I'll need. They're anxiously waiting at home for my return. I'll be picking up the tail kit when we return stateside.

    Thanks for the post Mark.

For those of you have not put it together, Mark is a fellow OH-58D pilot over here with me. He's a great pilot, but a bit of a bullet magnet...:gig:. I'll only go as far as to say he's famous and you may have seen him on all the major news networks. Hell of a guy too.

Hey, if you're not flying today, I'm coming over to check out your new plans!

Thanks for the links. Chad, I've spent a lot of time on your site. Very well done.

Bob, what company produces your spitfire kit? I watched your first start video...very cool.
