Polini Thor 250 DS $4,500+ is rated 36hp@7500rpm. Probably about 31hp@6500rpm. With a 400 hr TBO. Used on Trikes, a Dealer who uses them using 100LL gets 200-250hrs out of one using them at that High rpm. IF, Detuned to Max 6500rpm for just takeoff, then reduced to 75% Power, they will probably last longer 400-600hrs.

A Simonini Mini 3 is 270cc and makes 29.9hp@6500rpm. Makes 32.2hp@7000rpm!

If 250/36hp = 6.9cc to make 1hp at 7500rpm.

A 303 / 6.9cc = 43.9hp@7500rpm.

They need to De-rate these to Max 6500rpm, and offer a Bigger Bore & Stroke for 350cc!

On Polini's site, the "303" is 37cc over the "250's" 244cc making it 281cc, and only 1.5hp over the "250".
