Recently came across this photo hidden at the end of an album of Russian military activity. This is a configuration that I have been pushing to adopt for years. These “belly strakes” were already proven on the F-16 as a way to eliminate the need for a second vertical tail like the F-18 and F-15.

They theoretically improve stability greatly on flying wings. I would love to see how well they actually work on this thing in real world conditions.
