I received a posting seemingly from this site, dated today,
but it was not in the right folder in my email. It was in
    my SPAM folder...
along with a message that it was a phishing site I isolated it, and opened it
Most of the content was OK. But in " Brutality Today" there was a posting from Chopper girl,
who posted her frustration at wing removal, and included a photo the link to which was
indicated by Google.com, to be a deceptive site. I ignored the warning and since I had isolated the link,
I opened it, and lo and behold it was just a photo.
I closed the site in the browser, and tried a second time, with the same results. What threw me was that it wanted me to login to see the photo, and Since I was already logged in( with the previous day's postings)
I did not complete the login process again. Closed the browser entirely and reopened the posting from
9-1-19. to find I am still logged in, as expected. jumping to forums I again found Chopper Girls post this time no warning message, and her photo was displayed in the post with no need to log in to see it.

So As I said, HEADS UP... something strange is happening.
I think someone spoofed the site...
Mods may wish to look into this.

    Hey spammers!
Yes, you with the phishing site!

Do you know why your spam is removed so quickly?

It's because anything that looks like spam is reported to mods by anyone with an account. The mods then delete it.

Hijacking existing accounts won't alter that at all. I have personally reported spam from members on several occasions. Guess what, the mods wiped it! All you will get from hijacking an account is to very briefly impersonate that person. It won't take long for people to work out what is going on and restore access to the actual owner.

While not everyone here is a rocket scientist, most of us aren't complete idiots.

What was the title of the email that gave you that problem?

Something is breaking in and entirely replacing my HBA window with some sort of survey spam. Third time today. I need to start a new window each time.
    Looks likes this on iPad.

This just happened to me this morning also. It only has happened so far on my home wifi network--not on others. iOS 9.3.5. My PC on the same network is not affected.

I only get that stuff on my android phone on Facebook.

Go to the User Control Panel (little man icon upper right) and then Preferences and at bottom turn off ads. Then let me know if you still get that when you come here.

Yes, ads have been off on my account since the Xenforo switch. Although no further malicious ad problems this evening.

That is not an ad on HBA. Somehow, these spammers have found a way to hijack phone browsers with ads that override the webpage. I don’t know if it is a virus on the phone or a simple hijacking, not do I know if it hijacks some website feeds easier than others, but it’s annoying and, dare I say, immoral. I see it mostly pop up in BBC and Facebook feeds. In other words, this is not necessarily an HBA issue; it hasn’t affected my HBA.

I wonder if it's Facebook related.
No facebook here, android phone, no problems so far.

Anyone having this problem who isn't on facebook? Or not using (spit) Chrome?

ps Opera browser, and also anti-virus.

You may have a point, since that is where the beast raises its head most often.

Had one on here too. Something about Verizon. Cleared it but had to reload this site.
