Hi All,
I'm new this forum , im planning to buy a long Ez or a Cozy mk iv. I'm applying for my ppl in a few months time . My question to you is whether a PBS TJ 100 turbojet engine could power a long Ez or a cozy mk4 . Please point me out the advantages and disadvantages of this . My purpose is to fly over large span of water /sea , since I know that a turbine engine is more reliable than a piston engine , I came up with this Idea. I dont want the engine to quit over water. The jet engine is quite light too around 20 kg max dry weight , so I could accommodate more fuel in the process . All I need to know is that for a given weight of an airplane , how much thrust is required for it to fly . Could you provide some formulas to calculate it . Thanks a lot Guys !
